Harvesting more than 90 tons of cumin in Isfahan province
The horticulture management expert of Isfahan Jihad Agricultural Organization said: Cumin is cultivated in four cities of Khor and Biabank, Dehaghan, Mobarakeh and Natanz.
According to the public relations of the Jihad Agricultural Organization of Isfahan Province, Mohsen Shah Talebi stated in connection with the latest situation of cumin cultivation in the province: Cumin is cultivated in four cities of Khor and Biabank, Dehaghan, Mobarakeh and Natanz.
He continued: the area under cumin cultivation in these four cities reaches more than 134 hectares and more than 90 tons of crop is harvested from these areas.
The horticulture management expert of Isfahan Jihad Agricultural Organization added: Cultivation of black cumin has also been done in Khorobiabank city at the level of 2 tenths of a hectare of land.
Regarding the medicinal properties and effects of cumin, Shah Talebi said: Cumin is rich in minerals such as iron, copper, calcium, potassium, manganese and magnesium. Consumption of copper and iron is essential for the production of red blood cells, and cumin is a good source in this regard. In addition, a variety of essential vitamins such as A, E, C can be obtained from this useful herbal spice.
