Harvesting of Al-Mehtari Rutab-e-Nobar began in 2,500 hectares of Hormozgan groves.

‌The director of horticulture affairs of Hormozgan Agricultural Jihad Organization predicted that by the end of the harvest season, 10,000 tons of wet alfalfa will be harvested, which has not changed compared to last year.

Massoud Gargij added: The cities of Minab, Rudan, Bandar Abbas and Sirik are among the most important areas for the production of Almaty Rutab in Hormozgan.

He stated that the harvest of Rutab Almehtari will continue until the beginning of July, and specified: each kilo of Rutab Nobar is sold for 40,000 Tomans in the daily market of Bandar Abbas today.

Gargij added: After Al-Mehtari, Rutbahs are other species of palms such as Nagar, Mardasang, Khunizi, Khasavi, Mazafati, Kriteh and Barhi are cultivars that are harvested from the groves of Hormozgan.

He pointed out that Hormozgan province with the annual harvest of 150,000 tons of dates from 34,000 hectares of groves is ranked fourth in production and third in the area under date cultivation in the country, said: Rutb harvest in Hormozgan begins with Al Mehtari and ends with Pyarom harvest .
