Harvesting of export dates began in Fahraj

Harvesting of semi-dried dates of Pyaram cultivar began with the presence of the governor of Kerman in Allahabad Mostofi village of Fahraj city.
Ali Darijani, head of the Fahraj Agricultural Jihad, said at the ceremony: This grove is at the level of 15 hectares, of which three hectares have reached economic benefits and its average yield is estimated at seven tons per hectare.
Drijani added: This project is in order to change the cultivation pattern from a date crop and in fact is a single-digit number.
He said: One of the advantages of this figure is the demand of domestic and foreign markets, proper possibility and maintenance of transportation, one-time harvest of clusters and transfer to the processing plant, resistance to heat stress, especially the complication of date drying.
Also, two pressurized irrigation projects in the village of Allahabad Mostofi Fahraj were put into operation in the presence of the governor of Kerman.
These projects include sprinkler and drip irrigation on palm orchards on 220 hectares with a credit of 10 billion rials from the Agricultural Bank, which will increase irrigation efficiency to 76% and save more than 60%.
