Harvesting of ruby grapes began in Mehran

Sadegh Eliassy added: the average harvest of grapes is four tons per hectare, which is expected to harvest more than 112 tons of grapes from the vineyards of this city this year and will be offered in the consumer market.
He added: The rial value of this amount of grapes is three billion and 360 million rials.
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Mehran city continued: Mehran city has 67 hectares of vineyards, of which more than 20 hectares are fertile.
Eliassy continued: The predominant cultivar cultivated in this city is ruby, and the high production performance per unit area is one of the advantages that has led farmers to turn to this cultivar.
Regarding the harvest season, he reminded: The grape harvest in Mehran city has started from the first half of June and will continue until early July.
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Mehran city stated: the organic nature of grapes due to not using chemical fertilizers and poisons is one of the characteristics of the grapes produced in this city.
The border city of Mehran has about 530 hectares of orchards.
