According to historical evidence, pottery making by pottery wheels dates back to about 400 BC, after which the mass production of pottery began and pottery became more popular around the world. The discovered pottery can be identified by analyzing and tracing the elements in their clay, and thus an estimate of their cooking history can be obtained.
For the first time, the Egyptians built a furnace to make pottery. They used a mixture of straw and clay to make pottery. Later in ancient Egypt, soft clay and its combination with quartz were used for this purpose. To polish the surface of the pottery, they used stone abrasion on it and applied clay to the pottery with another thin layer of clay, thus eliminating the unevenness in the pottery. The Egyptian people discovered more of this and discovered a blue-green substance for use in pottery. The material was actually a combination of quartz with sodium carbonate and mineral copper and was used as an enamel to decorate pottery.
