Hormozgan dates on the way to South Africa
Masoud Deshvargar, Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade Development of Hormozgan Industry, Mining and Trade Organization, met with the Commercial Counselor of the Islamic Republic of Iran in South Africa on Tuesday evening at the invitation of Hormozgan Industry, Mining and Trade Organization. Referring to the capabilities and capabilities of Hormozgan, he said: This province has unique capabilities in the industrial, mining, agricultural and fisheries sectors.
He continued in this regard: Hormozgan province in the field of agriculture due to the special southern climate, has the ability to cultivate and harvest crops outside the usual agricultural seasons of the country.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade Development of Hormozgan Industry, Mining and Trade Organization, stating that the cultivation and supply of products in the cold seasons of the country has a high value, clarified: one of the quality products of the province that owns more than 30,000 hectares of agricultural land Dedicated dates.
Dashavargar emphasized: Unfortunately, due to the unknown volume of production and quality of dates produced in Hormozgan, the dates of this province have not reached their true status as they should.
Referring to the strategy of the organization’s foreign trade development unit in Hormozgan for the global export of dates produced in Hormozgan, the official said: One of the important goals in this regard is to develop the province’s exports and trade with the target countries.
Dashvargar expressed hope that considering the capabilities of the province, especially in the discussion of dates, a place can be found for this product in the South African market.
He said: A conference to study and identify the South African market, its obstacles and problems in order to obtain a license to send a trade and marketing delegation in the third quarter of this year has been done by the Trade Development Organization of Iran.
Hamid Eftekhari, Counselor of the Islamic Republic of Iran in South Africa, also mentioned a report on the market and trade situation in South Africa and said: This country is currently experiencing good economic prosperity and in this regard can be a good market for products of southern ports.
He expressed hope that Hormozgan could expand Iran’s trade relations with this African country by exporting dates to this country.
Hormozgan has several groves, including in Fin and Hajiabad.
