Microbes, bacteria and microorganisms such as Corynebacterium grosiis are the main causes of diseases, infections and odors, and disinfectants are used to reduce the activity of these microorganisms. But one carpet company uses yarns containing silver nanoparticles to solve this problem. The company’s antibacterial products do not smell in high-traffic centers such as mosques and residential areas due to the contact of body sweat with its surface.
Mohammad Jafari Asl, CEO of the company, said: In handmade carpets, due to the use of natural yarns, there are proteins that cause the formation of willow in the carpet. Willow does not form in these handmade carpets due to its antibacterial properties. These rugs are also free of common odors in handmade rugs. Common handmade rugs smell quickly if placed in humid environments; However, these carpets do not smell bad.
Jafari considered the use of nanoparticles as one of the advantages of manufactured carpets and noted: The type of technology used in these yarns is such that the nanoparticles are not separated from it, so by washing, folding the carpet, shaking the carpet and sweeping it, nano The particles do not separate and the properties of the carpet do not change.
He announced the export of these carpets to the United States and Spain and reminded: in addition to receiving nanoscale certification from the Nano Technology Development Headquarters, this product has also been able to receive health approval from the Ministry of Health.
