He said that the harvest of peanuts in 2507 hectares of farms in Astana Ashrafieh city has been started by 4500 people, adding: This year there is no pest of this product and it is predicted that this year we will see an increase in peanut production in Astana compared to last year .

The director of Astana Ashrafieh Agricultural Jihad, stating that Astana Ashrafieh is a brand in the production of peanuts in the country, noted: It is predicted that 9,689 tons of dried almond cocoons will be produced this year.

Director of Astana Ashrafieh Agricultural Jihad, pointing out that the planting, holding and harvesting of this crop is mechanized more than last year, clarified: Increasing the production of this crop mechanized will reduce the cost of peanut production in Astana.

He added: Good sales of peanuts have increased the desire of young people to produce this product, and this year, compared to last year, we saw an increase of 200 hectares of peanut orchards.

Soleimani said that the alternative use of peanuts instead of other products such as walnuts in cooking foods such as meatballs and fesnjan is increasing, because it is more economical.

Gilan province, with an area of ??2900 hectares under peanut cultivation and production of 11 thousand and 200 tons of dry cocoons with an economic value of 90 billion Tomans and five thousand users, accounts for 80% of the mentioned product in the country. Peanut crop is cultivated in Astana-Rasht-Talesh-Rudbar and Anzali counties, with the largest share of production belonging to Astana-Ashrafieh county.
