The head of the Iranian Nut Exporters Association said:
This year, pistachio and raisin products have increased compared to last year, and its exports are expected to increase.

Mohammad Hossein Shamsfard, president of the Iranian Dried Fruit Exporters Union, said:
Last year we had about 170,000 tons of pistachio products, of which 135,000 tons were exported,
and this year we are expected to have 200,000 to 220,000 tons of pistachio products.

He said that last year about 130 thousand tons of raisins were exported:
the total yield of raisins in 1392 was 150 thousand tons and dates were exported about 130 thousand tons, of course,
the total yield was about one million tons.

Shamsfard stated that Iranian pistachios are exported all over the world and mostly to Asian and Arab countries:
each kilo of exported pistachios is exported for approximately 26 to 43 thousand Tomans depending

The head of the Iranian Nut Exporters Association mentioned the union’s problems with the Tax Affairs Organization
in relation to VAT as one of the union members’ problems.

In part of his speech, he said:
With exchange rate fluctuations, we can not have pre-sales or pre-purchase of nuts, which is another of our problems.
