Increase of rice cultivation per year in Mazandaran

The governor of Mazandaran announced an increase in rice cultivation in the province.

Rabi Fallah Jalodar in the ceremony of the first mechanized rice harvest in Ojabandan village of Ghaemshahr, said: the area under cultivation and obtaining the amount of products in the current crop year in Mazandaran as last year has increased due to suitable weather conditions.

He estimated the increase in agricultural production in Mazandaran this year by more than 5 percent and noted: This increase in the paddy sector is more than 100,000 tons is predictable.

The governor of Mazandaran, referring to the statistics of agricultural jihad in this province, announced an increase of 3,000 hectares under rice cultivation and the growth of production of this product and added: The Ministry of Agricultural Jihad has taken effective measures in connection with mechanization of agricultural machinery and last year more than 2130 billion Rial paid facilities to Mazandaran farmers in this regard.

Regarding the progress made in Mazandaran’s agricultural sector, Fallah said that the area under rice cultivation in Mazandaran has increased and harvesting has been mechanized, adding: This year, more than 80% of the paddy fields in this province will be harvested with a special rice combine.

He reminded: This year, proper management has been done in the import discussion. Necessary support has been provided for the market situation and price stabilization so that no amount of rice is imported to Mazandaran.
