Increased rice cultivation in Izeh

This year, 1460 hectares of agricultural lands in Izeh city were planted with rice.

Abdolhossein Shahriari – Director of Izeh Agricultural Jihad explained: The cultivar cultivated in this area is of the local Champa type.

It is expected that 5,265 tons of crop will be harvested from this area this year, he said.

Noting that the area under rice cultivation in Izeh has increased by 30 hectares this year, Shahriari added: It has increased last year.

Last year, the production per hectare was 3,200 kilograms, and this year, this amount will increase to 3,600 kilograms, he said.
