Increasing the production of organic rice in Fereydunkenar

The director of Fereydunkenar Agricultural Jihad announced the harvest of 45,278 tons of rice in this city and said: the area under cultivation of organic rice in this city is increasing.

Hassan Razzaqi said: Food security is one of the most important issues in developing countries and Iran, which is becoming more important every day with increasing demand.

He added: Rice is one of the main foods in the consumer basket of households and after wheat, it is the most consumed among cereals.

The director of Fereydunkenar Agricultural Jihad pointed out: Rice is known as a basic and strategic commodity in Iran and its consumption has increased among the people, so that it is currently of great importance in the diet of households.

Razzaqi also said about the importance of rice cultivation in Fereydunkenar city: Fereydunkenar economy is based on agriculture with the focus on rice cultivation.

He added: Cultivation of crops, especially Fereydunkenar rice, which has a good aroma and taste, has developed quantitatively and qualitatively in recent years, and today we are witnessing an increase in the area under organic rice cultivation and the production of healthy products in this city.

The director of Fereydunkenar Agricultural Jihad stated that 11421 hectares of the arable lands of this city have been cultivated this year, and said: in these agricultural lands, 6021 hectares will be cultivated first, 2000 hectares will be replanted and 3400 hectares will be planted with rattan.

In the end, Razzaqi pointed out: 45 thousand and 278 tons of paddy were harvested from these lands, of which 30 thousand and 707 tons were related to the first cultivation, 7744 tons to re-cultivation and 6827 tons to ratoon.
