Farahnaz Rafi stated in the meeting of Ilam Province Carpet Working Group: In Ilam Province, we are looking to implement modern plans only to expand exports, and our designers will help to strengthen the Carpet Designers Association.
He emphasized: we should consider the export incentive package in the province for carpets and try to take the province’s carpet out of the state of Ilam carpet because this carpet has a name in the country and the world to become carpet exporters.
He added: “Ilam province, where the route of Karbala pilgrims’ passage is hoped that our carpet weavers will be more developed in the province and the number of producers and weavers will increase.”
He continued: “Ilam carpet, due to its quality, if it is considered, it will be considered as a world-famous carpet in less than a decade, because at present, handmade carpets emphasize that Ilam carpets should be purchased.”
The head of the country’s carpet center added: “The very bright future that exists in the province is due to the very good knowledge that weavers have, because educated and young people have entered the field of carpet weaving in Ilam. They are disappearing with the help of these people.
“If we don’t move all the officials, artists and all of us, the handmade carpet in the world will disappear,” Rafi said.
He said: “There are many problems in all countries that work in the field of carpets.”
He emphasized: “Considering the jihadist people who were active in the war, we are currently in an economic war. Our problems will be solved by ruthless people.”
“If we are looking to prevent the outflow of currency and currency appreciation, we must pay attention to the carpet,” Rafi said.
He continued: The capital to enter the carpet business is only 15 million Tomans and job creation in this field is very cheap.
He emphasized: “We will create a high-quality carpet weaving complex in the province with the presence of the private sector, because we are looking to create centralized complexes in the discussion of hand-woven carpets, and in this regard we can employ from 300 to 1,000 people.”
“Everyone in different fields should help us to check the insurance situation with smart inspections,” Rafi said.
He called on lawmakers to consider the issue of carpet weavers’ hard work, tax exemptions, and foreign exchange commitment, which is a concern for carpet weavers, to improve the situation by passing an appropriate law for their well-being.
He called for holding a carpet working group in the province on a monthly basis and said: “In the province and the institutions, they should also be concerned about carpets, and this working group should study the issues and problems of carpets.”
“We have no problem holding a specialized exhibition, and coordination has been made for Iraq, and we can hold an exhibition in Iraq,” said the head of the country’s carpet center.
He continued: “There should be a study plan for wool washing and dyeing in the province, so that we can implement this capacity and ability of the carpet supply chain in the province.”
