Elham Yaghouti spoke at the meeting of women entrepreneurs and activists in the field of business in the province with the governor about the issues and problems facing Kermanshah handmade carpets and added: handmade carpets are considered from different angles and on the one hand shows the ancient culture of Iranians and On the other hand, it can play an important role in job creation.
The manufacturer of handmade carpets, stating that Kermanshah handmade carpets are not in good condition, added: This issue is so bold that it can be said that the general carpet has been forgotten and this issue is more than anything due to the lack of spinning factory in the province.
Yaghouti, pointing out that most of the wool produced in Kermanshah province is Sanjabi breed, said: This breed is the best breed of wool and due to the lack of spinning factory in the province, all wool produced is exported to Tehran and Tabriz provinces. It will be returned to the province.
He said: According to the available statistics, Kermanshah province has 35,000 carpet weavers, about 60% of whom are homeless, malnourished or self-employed, and about 13,000 of them are covered by insurance, which does not provide them with many services.
Yaghouti considered the lack of training for quality production, the lack of spinning and dyeing factories, the lack of facilities appropriate to the conditions of carpet weavers, the problem of selling manufactured carpets, etc. as the main problems of Kermanshah carpet weavers.
In the continuation of this meeting, according to the order of the governor of Kermanshah, it was decided to solve the problems of Kermanshah carpet weavers and to find a solution for Kermanshah carpet.
