Khalilabad the center of grape production in Khorasan Razavi
Khorasan Razavi province, due to climatic conditions, has always been a suitable place for planting grapes.
Manouchehr Ahmadinejad, stating that Khalilabad is the center of grape production in the province, added:
Currently, 6 hectares of orchards in this city belong to vineyards.
He said:
Every year, an average of 180,000 tons of grapes are harvested from this area.
Referring to the average production of 30 tons per hectare,
Ahmadinejad announced the identification of more than 20 types of grapes in this city and said:
Peykami and Askari are the most important grape cultivars in Khalilabad.
He considered the types of Tarshiz, Lal, Rish Baba, Sahebi, Rizqi, Yaghouti, Fakhri, Muskeh, Targhi, Khalili, Sarghi, etc.
among other grape cultivars in this city and stated:
These cultivars are for fresh eating, preparing raisins and Typhoid is used.
Ahmadinejad stated that 80% of the grapes produced in this city are exported to raisins and the rest is consumed fresh to Tehran and other provinces,
noting that in order to reduce the market pressures on raisins that we face in some years,
several figures Others are grown in the city and used for fresh food.
The director of Khalilabad Jihad-e-Agriculture considered the main income of the people of this city from the production
of grapes and raisins and stated:
Vineyards in this region have a special position; Last year, 128 tons of vineyards were harvested.
In the end, Ahmadinejad considered the lack of conversion industries and proper packaging in the city as problems and said: Unfortunately,
due to the lack of conversion industries, part of the garden products turn into waste.
