The Deputy Minister of Handicrafts of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Markazi Province said:
With the efforts and follow-up of the Deputy Minister of Handicrafts of the last two years, the traditional pottery field in Khomein has been revived.
Qassem Kazemi, pointing out that this traditional art field is one of the forgotten fields of traditional arts and crafts in Markazi province, added: With the efforts made in the last two years, it has been revived in Borjak Khomein village.
Referring to the industry’s more than 100-year history of many activists in the village of Burjak, he said:
Traditional pottery has been done without the use of wheels or any other industrial tools. The pottery was baked.
Kazemi considered one of the main characteristics of this industry, along with being traditional and manual, to be done by women and added: this field has been done completely from zero to one hundred by the women of this region.
The Deputy Minister of Handicrafts of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Markazi Province, referring to the training of about 30 people interested in this field, which is carried out by the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage with the cooperation of one of the old artists in Borjak village.
Fortunately, good feedback has been received from these trainings, and with the boom, the sales market will be provided, because any industry without a sales market is doomed to failure and technology, and certainly with the development of this industry, a suitable economic space is considered for it.
