The head of the Jihad Agriculture Organization of Kurdistan Province said: Kurdistan is the center of black grape production in Iran

Hassan Nejad stated that the area of ​​vineyards in Marivan city is 2,200 hectares and said: 12,000 tons of grapes are harvested from these orchards and 80% (9600) of the crop is exported to other provinces for processing.
He also added: Bijar city is one of the other major areas of grape production in Kurdistan, where there are about one thousand and 100 hectares of vineyards. He named the areas of Hassanabad, Yasugand and Pirtaj as two major centers of grape production.
Referring to the export of raisins from the customs of this province, Hassan Nejad said: 700 tons of raisins were exported from this province abroad in order to take another step in the field of currency for our country.
The head of the Jihad Agriculture Organization of Kurdistan Province stated: So far this year, the income of the beneficiaries of the province’s raisin product has been $ 2.2 million.
