All over Iran, pottery dates back to more than 10,000 years ago. The making of pottery dates back to a time when humans generally lived in the plains and there was a new monogamy. Pottery is primarily used to store water and food because pottery is incorruptible. Lalejin pottery also dates back to ancient times. The oldest pottery wheel in Iran was in the Shush region, although other archeological finds have been found in an area not far from Laljin, known as Silk Hill. Many pottery vessels have been found in the village of Silk, and due to the presence of wheels, they are much more regular than the original forms of pottery. The area also has red pottery, which indicates the good progress of the industry in Silk. In the city of Laljin, most people have been engaged in pottery since ancient times, and in addition to the many pottery found in the area, the art that has been passed down from generation to generation is a testament to the city’s long history of pottery.
