Lentil stew with rice is one of the local rice in Fars province, especially in Shiraz, which, if prepared without meat or chicken, is a tasty and traditional Iranian plant food.

INGREDIENTS :

  • Rice = 1 kg
  • Lentils = 1 cup
  • Orange slices = 1 cup
  • Cinnamon = half a teaspoon
  • Oil  = 1.5 cups
  • Salt = to the extent necessary
  • Black pepper = to the extent necessary

INSTRUCTION :

First, pour a very small amount of oil in a bowl and fry the turmeric, pepper and salt in it, and then add the washed lentils to it, and after frying, let it simmer with some water.
In a separate bowl, fry the onions halfway and mix with some turmeric, cabbage, vegetables, carrots, salt and pepper and fry, then add the rice to the ingredients with water and after the water evaporates, add some half-cooked lentil juice. Add to the ingredients and allow the water to evaporate, leaving only a small amount of moisture to brew the rice. Now brew the rice.
So about 45 minutes of food is ready. Enjoy your meal!
