Head of the General Technical and Vocational Department of Lorestan Province, referring to the province’s capabilities in areas such as handmade carpets, said: Lorestan has potential in this area, which is expected in a short time process. Through appropriate training and support of officials and the interest of the private sector to create nearly 10,000 jobs in this area in the province.
Ghobad Biranvand emphasized that technical and vocational education should be mainly in areas that create wealth and added value, noting: According to the historical background of handicrafts, especially handmade carpets, Lorestan is one of these potentials. Which can create added value and employment in Lorestan.
The head of the General Technical and Vocational Department of Lorestan said: Technical and vocational training should be in line with strengthening domestic production and supporting local capital.
Oba said that Lorestan has unique capabilities in various fields of industry, mining, tourism, agriculture, etc., adding: Training a capable and skilled workforce in order to support provincial products is essential.
The head of the General Technical and Vocational Department of Lorestan stated that in this regard, and considering the implementation of the land management plan, special working groups have been formed in the field of the province’s capabilities and a special needs assessment has been carried out. The support of influential people and provincial officials, it is hoped that some of the employment problems in the province will be solved.
Biranvand reminded: Due to the mineral capabilities of the province, the field of training in the field of gemology and jewelry in the province with the efforts of experts and the creation of workshops, hiring instructors and purchasing equipment has been provided and necessary measures have been provided to start this course in the province.
The head of the General Technical and Vocational Department of Lorestan stated: Necessary measures have been taken to employ foreign companies that have sufficient expertise in this field to teach these fields.
Biranvand continued: Since education is the cornerstone of production, in order for experienced people to enter the labor market and improve the quality of education, the necessary standards have been considered for this purpose.
The head of the general technical and professional department of the province, noted: At present, 154 technical and vocational courses are provided in the province and in public and private technical and professional centers.
Biranvand reminded: so far, the necessary trainings have been provided for six thousand applicants in the public sector and in the first quarter, 3195 people in the private sector.
He added: Technical and professional centers with charts in the province have increased from seven to 11 centers and 40 job opportunities have been created through this.
