Malayer city and its subdivisions and villages are one of the most important centers for carpet production in this province. Carpets in this area, especially those that are more textured, have always had a good reputation in domestic and foreign markets.
In its northern and eastern regions, such as Jessinabad, most of the one-piece carpets are woven with Turkish knots and in geometric style with Herati and Italian designs that originate from Kurdish and Caucasian patterns, while the weavers of the southern regions of Malayer The weaving traditions of the Persian-speaking regions, including the use of asymmetrical knots and the use of two weaves and a common pattern in Farahan and Saruq, follow.
