Malekan city grape export to Caucasus and Russia

Bagher Khani said in a meeting to review the issues and problems of the farmers of this city: due to the quality of the grapes of these owners, foreign parties have announced their readiness to buy it.

He reminded: Russia is one of the countries that buys Malekan fresh grapes and last year 300 tons of grapes were exported to this country.

Khani predicted that more than 2,000 tons of Malekan grapes would be exported fresh this year.

The director of market regulation of the East Azerbaijan Agricultural Jihad Organization also considered the lack of a trade union organization as one of the main problems of grape growers and said: The establishment of this organization plays an effective role in marketing the sale of this product.

Mohsen Ghahramannejad informed about the readiness of the Jihad Agricultural Organization of the province in order to create markets for the direct supply of grapes in all parts of the country and added: Malekan grapes are also offered fresh in the fruit and vegetable markets of the country.

He predicted that 70,000 tons of dried raisins will be produced in the province this year, which is an increase of 10,000 tons compared to last year.

He stated: Iran ranks 11th in the world with the production of 3 million tons of grapes per year, and in the export of raisins, it ranks third, and Malekan city, by producing 250,000 tons of grapes, supplies one tenth of the country’s grapes.
