Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Lorestan said: Currently, more than 36,000 handicraft artists are active in the province.
Seyed Amin Ghasemi told reporters on June 12: 32 national medals of quality and 4 UNESCO medals have been awarded by artists and craftsmen of the province in the fields of Lori fiddle, traditional jewelry, painting and gilding on glass and stone carving.
He said that last year 29 training courses in general handicrafts and three training courses for handicraft workers were held in the province, adding that 1728 students and 1268 students benefited from specialized training in these courses.
Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Lorestan said: kilim weaving, hand-embroidered leather, mash and jajim weaving, wood industry, wood carpentry, kilim design, cutting of precious and semi-precious stones, Chogha weaving, bankruptcy, mirror work, woodcarving, Mat and Kopubafi are some of the handicrafts in the province that have been taught in these courses.
He said: Currently, there are 3,500 active handicraft workshops with 52 disciplines in the province, and more than 36,000 artists work directly and indirectly in this field.
Ghasemi went on to point out that more than 8,000 people registered in the smart system for issuing registered licenses for handicrafts as individual or workshop craftsmen last year, adding: Artists who have registered in this system can attend national and international exhibitions. International Handicrafts will also benefit from tax exemptions and supportive banking facilities.
The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Lorestan stated that 12,000 people with ID cards or small workshops and home-based businesses and more than 30,000 people work directly and indirectly in affiliated jobs in the province. In the past, 1,268 training skills cards were issued and 884 ID cards were extended.
He announced the issuance of more than 200 handicraft skills training cards last year in the province and said: During this period, 350 artists in Khorramabad, Boroujerd, Dorud, Azna, Aligudarz, Al-Shatr and Kuhdasht counties in the field of handicraft marketing principles. Were trained.
Ghasemi also pointed to the annual sale of 70 billion rials of handicrafts in the province and reminded: a large bazaar in the center of the province and several temporary bazaars in other cities, in order to supply artists’ handicraft products, are without intermediaries and directly active.
He registered Boroujerd as the first national city of handicrafts in Warsaw in the country, producing 4 documentaries on kilim weaving and Warsaw making, printing 5,000 copies of books, 4,000 brochures and 200 industrial photo frames of handicraft workshops. He mentioned the purpose of developing and promoting Lorestan handicrafts.
Ghasemi pointed to the payment of 29 billion and 752 million rials in support facilities to 101 handicraft workshops in the province last year and added: 2750 people registered in rural and nomadic employment facilities (Kara) and fortunately 1530 people benefited from new employment.
The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of the province stated: From the facilities of the Tourism Bank to the handicraft workshops, 25 billion Rials were allocated to 25 artists of the province.
Ghasemi pointed to the continuous presence of Lorestan handicraft artists in national and regional festivals and specified: 325 artists participated in 17 exhibitions and festivals.
