Pictures of miniature pottery
Jon Almeda is a tasteful and innovative artist who has long been interested in the art of pottery and has now exposed his new achievements in this field to the public. His new specialty is making these dishes in miniature dimensions of 2.54 cm, while he started pottery by making much larger dishes.
He points out that once he went to a bookstore, he came across a book called “Creativity in Miniature Ceramics.” A book that plays an important role in his success today.
“Working on such small containers helps me focus more on shape and form,” he wrote on his website. Which requires precision, a lot of thinking and, of course, creativity.
The miniature versions of Almeida’s work bear a striking resemblance to their larger specimens, but are so small that they can be mounted on a pencil or placed in a matchbox. Of course, special tools are also needed to make such dishes. Including a potter’s wheel that fits these small dimensions.
