Pistachio harvest began from the gardens of Gonabad city
Pistachio harvesting has started from one thousand and eighty hectares of fruit orchards in Gonabad city, which is expected to harvest about 900 tons of crops.
Engineer Ismail Tajabadi, stating this matter, added: the area under cultivation of this crop was 2,545 hectares, most of which are young and newly constructed lands.
He stated that the average yield of pistachios per hectare is about 800 to 900 kg and the few reasons for its yield this year are the youth of the orchards and the lack of rainfall.
Tajabadi expressed his hope that due to the favorable climatic conditions in Gonabad city, the desire of farmers to plant this crop and implement the Touba plan, the area under pistachio cultivation will increase significantly in the coming years.
