Pistachio harvest began in Khaf

Pistachio farmers of Khaf city started harvesting pistachios from the gardens of this city.
Gholam Mohammad Baghdar, director of Khaf Agricultural Jihad, added: The harvest of this crop has started a few days before the 800 hectares of pistachio orchards in this city and it is predicted that 880 tons of dried pistachios will be collected from this cultivation area.
He said: Transfer of new scientific and practical findings of agriculture, optimal nutrition of trees using micronutrient fertilizers and timely spraying has increased the amount and yield of pistachio in this city compared to last year.
He mentioned the distribution of items such as 200 tons of chemical fertilizers, 150 liters of Braufix solution, plastic baskets and tarpaulin tents to prevent pistachio trees from being infected with aflatoxin fungus.
