Pistachio harvest began in Meybod

The director of Meybod Agricultural Jihad announced the beginning of pistachio harvesting operations from 1,300 hectares of pistachio orchards and fields in this city.
Azimi Dokht added: Despite a 20% decrease in pistachio production in the current crop year, it is predicted that the harvest of this crop from orchards and fields will increase by 60% compared to last year.
He predicted: by the end of the pistachio harvest operation from Meybod orchards and farms, one and a half tons per hectare and over 2,000 tons of pistachios will be harvested.
He added: Meybod city orchard pistachio is one of the cultivars of Badami, Koleghoochi, Hazelnut, Ahmad Aghaei which is exported to neighboring provinces and countries in the Persian Gulf.
Azimi-Dokht added: The beetle-eating beetle and worm-eating beetle is one of the major pests and diseases of pistachio orchards in Meybod city. .
