The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Khalilabad city announced the beginning of pistachio harvesting from 2630 hectares in this city.
Nasiri said: it is predicted that 2300 tons of dried pistachios will be harvested from 1927 hectares of fertile orchards in this city.
He added: Five pistachio recording terminals do the work of peeling, sorting and packing pistachios.
He went on to say that in order to support pistachio orchardists, 789 tons of chemical fertilizers have been distributed among orchardists.
It is worth mentioning that hazelnut, Koleghoochi, Ouhadi, Badami and Aghaei are the most important pistachio cultivars in Khalilabad city.
