The director of Sabzevar Jihad-e-Agriculture Department said: pistachio production in Sabzevar city has increased by 20% this year.
Waliullah Kashki, announcing this news, added: Sabzevar city has 2,400 hectares of pistachio orchards, of which 1,100 hectares are orchards and 1,300 hectares are non-orchards and young orchards.
He added: Last year, due to late spring frosts, we faced a decrease in yield, but this year, with favorable weather conditions and expert guidance and supervision of farmers, crop yield has increased by 20% compared to the previous year.
Kashki added: On average, it is predicted that 1,650 kilos of dried pistachios per hectare will be harvested this year, and the rial value of this product is about 600 billion rials.
