You may have wondered why we call Japanese seeds; However, some researchers believe that the original name of this seed is something else and the use of this word is due to a similarity and aural error.

“Jabani” is the name of the place where Shah Ismail fought with Farrokh Yasar. (History of Iranian Literature by Edward Brown, p. 65).
Jaban village is located in the west of Kermanshah village of Sarbandan Damavand and its people speak Kermanji Kurdish. Their generation goes back to the old Quchans of Quchan who migrated to this region from Chenaran in Khorasan Razavi province during the time of Karim Khan Zand.
