Planting ruby grapes for the first time in Mehr Fars
The head of horticulture of the agricultural jihad management of Mehr city said: for the first time, 9000 grape seedlings of ruby cultivar were planted in the agricultural lands of the captive part of Mehr city.
Yousef Safari continued: This garden is more than three hectares and two-year-old seedlings have been planted in it.
He added: although in the first year of planting these trees were not expected to harvest, but still 9 tons of grapes were harvested.
The official said: Grapes are one of the species suitable for the climate of this region and are subject to subsidies, and if farmers are inclined to plant this crop in principle, they will receive a free subsidy of 40,000 Rials to 110,000 Rials per seed.
