The head of the country’s tea organization announced a 10% increase in the production of green tea leaves for this year.

Habib Jahansaz, referring to the beginning of tea harvest and its guaranteed purchase from the last 20 days, predicted: 130,000 to 135,000 tons of green tea leaves will be harvested this year and the production of this product will increase by 10% compared to last year.

He said that the 10 percent increase in production this year compared to last year was due to the implementation of orchard operations and government support for the tea industry in recent years, which has led to the effective presence of gardeners in tea gardens.

The head of the country’s tea organization, noting that about 43,968 tons of green tea leaves have been purchased so far, 95% of which is first-class, said: The purchase value of green tea leaves has been 199.4 billion tomans so far.

He added: the amount of dry tea production has been 9,893 tons so far.

Referring to the year of the production leap, Jahansaz said: This year, cheap facilities will be paid through a specialized tea fund without any restrictions.

The head of the country’s tea organization continued: These facilities are intended for agricultural activities, mechanization, improvement of factories and their working capital.

According to the information base of the Ministry of Jihad Agriculture, Jahansaz Babian clarified that 55 billion Tomans of facilities were paid last year at a rate of 4% and a four-year repayment: the payment of facilities last year increased by 300% compared to previous years.
