He stated that last year 1160 tons of dates were produced in this city, and predicted that 1200 tons of dates would be produced in this city this year.

According to the head of Jihad Keshavarzi in Qasr Shirin, Zahedi, Ashresi, Jafari, etc. are among the dates produced in this city.

Mohammadi added: Among the dates cultivars produced in Qasrshirin city, only Jafari Ratab cultivar is and the rest of the cultivars are semi-dry nuts.

He stated that the harvest of Jafari cultivar in this city will start in September and will be done in two to three stages: the harvest of other date cultivars will start in early October.
