The director of Poldasht Agricultural Jihad announced the beginning of peanut harvest from the production hub of this product in West Azerbaijan.

Shahrokh Pishevar stated: The peanuts produced in this city have a good quality for consuming nuts and due to the high percentage of oil, it is the best product for the production of vegetable butter.

He pointed out that peanuts have the highest amount of protein among nuts, so that 100 grams of it has 25 grams of protein, he added: This product is cultivated in Poldasht agricultural lands during the second month of the year and is harvested in November.

The director of Poldasht Agricultural Jihad, noting that about 27 hectares of Poldasht lands have been planted with peanuts this year, added: It is expected that about 67 tons of peanuts will be harvested from these lands.

He further pointed out the features of this product and said: less water consumption of this product and its high profitability are the benefits of peanut cultivation.
Peanuts have more than 20 properties that are beneficial for the brain development of infants and children due to their high levels of fatty acids and omega-3s.

Pishevar stated: Each ton of peanuts is 60 million Tomans, and if the farmer has a good harvest, he can earn 24 million Tomans per hectare.
