Prediction of harvesting 80 tons of thyme from Hormozgan rangelands
The head of the exploitation department of the General Department of Natural Resources and Watershed Management of Hormozgan predicted that about 80 tons of thyme would be harvested from the province’s pastures by the end of the year.
Islam Bahrami, head of the Hormozgan Natural Resources and Watershed Management Department, said: Since the beginning of the year, more than 11,000 kilograms of thyme have been harvested from Hormozgan rangelands.
He added: these thyme have been harvested from Bandar Abbas, Minab and Hajiabad cities.
The head of the exploitation department of the General Department of Natural Resources and Watershed Management of Hormozgan said: the harvested thyme has been sent to the provinces of West Azerbaijan, Ilam and Qom.
Thyme is good for headaches, colds, earaches, measles and coughs.
Thyme harvest has started in early April and will continue until mid-June.
