Processing 6 tons of rose water from Dudangeh gardens
Ismail Khorshidi said: Damask rose was received from 70 farmers in some villages of Dudangeh, Sari, and 6 tons of rose water was processed.
He added: A large part of these rose waters were sold at the Damask rose festival and the remaining rose waters were also distributed in retail.
Khorshidi said: the daily capacity of this rose-making workshop is one and a half tons of Damask rose, and last year, 3 tons of rose water was produced in this workshop.
Dudangeh Sari medicinal plants added: Damask rose was bought from farmers for 7,000 Tomans per kilogram or one liter of rose water was delivered to farmers in the region.
It should be noted; 120 hectares of sloping and uncultivable lands in Dudangeh region of Sari were planted with Damask rose and are expected to reach 500 hectares in the next three years.
