Ali Ashraf Jalili considered the area under coriander cultivation in this city as 800 hectares and said: this year, for the first time, coriander has been cultivated in this area of ​​the city.

Director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Hersin city, stating that coriander was cultivated on 200 hectares of lands in this city last year, assessed the water requirement of this plant as low and said: the main reason for the increase in the area under coriander cultivation in Hersin city was this issue.

Jalili pointed out that the cultivation of coriander is done in March and its harvest is done in June, the good price and the short time between planting and harvesting as the reason for the tendency of farmers to cultivate this plant.

According to Jalili, the cultivation of coriander at a high level has sent many beekeepers to this city.

The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Hersin city stated that the average yield of coriander in this city is two tons per hectare and added: Coriander harvest from the lands of Hersin city will continue until the end of June.
