The director of Tonekabon Agricultural Jihad announced the forecast of producing 280 tons of hazelnuts in the gardens of this city.

Ebrahim Kaviani said: Hazelnut is one of the dried fruits that is planted in the summer lands of two thousand and three thousand villages of Khorramabad section of Tonekabon city.

He specified: it is predicted that 280 tons of hazelnuts will be harvested and offered to the market this year from 280 hectares of gardens in this city with an average yield of one ton per hectare.

The director of Tonekabon Babian Agricultural Jihad pointed out that the medicinal properties of hazelnuts are hot and dry according to ancient Iranian medicine: its leaves, flowers, flowers and skin (especially its root skin) are astringent and because it contains a small amount of starch and It has many minerals such as calcium, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, sodium and iron, it is a great food for diabetics.
