Production forecast of 320 tons of green cumin in Boshrouyeh

The director of Boshrouyeh Agricultural Jihad said: it is predicted that 320 tons of green cumin will be produced in Boshrouyeh this year.

Ali Shafiei, pointing out that the time of planting green cumin is January, said: the harvest time of this product is May.

Regarding the number of green cumin exploiters in Bashravieh, he clarified: Currently, 450 exploiters are working in this field.

The director of Jihad Keshavarzi Boshrouyeh, noting that last year, 540 tons of green cumin was harvested in Boshrouyeh, said: the price per kilo was 8000 Tomans, which in total last year, the rial value of this product is 43 billion 200 million rials.

Shafiee stated: Currently, 1100 hectares of agricultural lands in Bashravieh are under cumin cultivation.

Regarding the policies of Jihad Keshavarzi in order to increase the quantity and quality of this product, he clarified: Due to the fact that cumin is a product with low water requirement and is also one of the important medicinal plants in the region, so in recent years its proper cultivation has been promoted. And useful training in its cultivation has been given to farmers.

Regarding the benefits of cumin, Shafiei stated: Cumin is anti-convulsant, relieves bronchitis, relieves heartache in children, anti-flatulence and appetizing.
