The head of the Fisheries Organization said: This year, about 1.5 tons of farmed caviar was produced in the country’s farms, of which more than one ton is exported, and it seems that the production of this product will increase to two tons next year.
Hassan Salehi, Deputy Minister of Jihad for Agriculture, said: Although many investments have been made for sturgeon farming in the country’s farms and sturgeon are in the sturgeon stage, but considering that some necessary arrangements and conditions, especially for the last year that these fish want to be considered. Sturgeon was not provided and the production of this product did not reach more than 1.5 tons.
He added: According to the plans made in the Fisheries Organization, it seems that the production of farmed caviar will increase to about two tons next year.
The head of the Fisheries Organization continued: The production of sturgeon meat will increase further this year, and considering that commercial sturgeon fishing in the Caspian Sea has been banned since 2010 with the agreement of five Caspian littoral states, now the consumer basket of farmed fish meat is supplied. he does.
Salehi said that the Fisheries Organization also supports the separation of male and female sturgeon after two to three years in the breeding chain of male fish that do not want to re-enter the productive chain, to be identified and released sooner so that their meat can be used.
