Production of 150 tons of peanuts in Rudbar
The director of Rudbar Agricultural Jihad said: 150 tons of peanuts were harvested in Rudbar city.
Muslim Toofan said: 50 Rudbari farmers harvested this amount of crop from 30 hectares of almond fields.
He announced the Rial value of the harvested peanuts as 20 billion Rials and continued: Last year, 40 tons of peanuts worth 8 billion Rials were harvested in Rudbar city.
Toofan specified: the area under peanut cultivation in Gilan is 2800 hectares, of which 2500 hectares are in Astana Ashrafieh city, 220 hectares in Rasht, 30 hectares in Rudbar and the rest in Talesh city.
The annual production of peanuts in Gilan is 8 to 12 thousand tons.
