Production of 620 square meters of handmade carpets in Mahabad

Chia Ghorbani Aghdam added: 620 square meters of handmade carpets, including handmade carpets, handmade carpets and Afshar carpets (Heh Vashhari) were produced and marketed by the city’s weavers.
He said that the production of handmade carpets was done by a thousand carpet weavers, adding: of this amount, 177 square meters were carpets, 95 square meters were large carpet weavers and 348 square meters were Afshar carpets.
The victim of Aqdam stated: The carpets of this city have been sold in most cases in the domestic markets, including the cities of Tabriz, Hamedan and Isfahan.
The head of the Mahabad Carpet Weavers’ Union said: “These artists are producing handmade carpets in the form of centralized, decentralized, independent home carpet weavers.”
