Production of 7 kg of caviar in Qazvin

The director of fisheries of Qazvin Agricultural Jihad Organization said: for the first time this year, about seven kilos and 600 grams of caviar were extracted from one of the sturgeon production farms in the province.

Simin Shokri, Director of Fisheries of Jihad Agricultural Organization of Qazvin Province, stated: The position of sturgeon in fisheries and biology circles of the world is of great importance and value.

He mentioned the existence of various factors such as the entry of various pollutants into the Caspian Sea, illegal fishing, destruction of natural spawning habitats and many other adverse factors to reduce the reserves of these ancient aquatic animals.

The director of fisheries of Qazvin Agricultural Jihad Organization pointed out: the implementation of various research projects, rehabilitation and reconstruction of reserves as well as breeding in inland waters have been among the measures taken by the officials to protect these gifts, and measures have been taken in Qazvin province.

Sugar describes the nutritional value of caviar as rich in a variety of vitamins and minerals, omega-3 fatty acids and other nutrients.

The director of fisheries of Qazvin Jihad Agricultural Organization, stating that last year, sturgeon production in the province was 15 tons, noted: with proper planning and using new methods, we can see an increase in meat and caviar production in sturgeon production and breeding.
