Production of 80000 meters of carpets with tiny fish In Khoy

The head of Khoy Industry, Mining and Trade Department said: more than 80,000 square meters of handmade carpets with the brand and role of small fish were produced in this city and offered to domestic and foreign markets.

Yahya Kazemi, during his visit to the handmade carpet production workshop in Khoy, stated: The value of these carpets, which were produced in 9,000 carpet weaving workshops in this city, is estimated at about two thousand billion Rials.

Referring to the registration of Khoy micro-fish carpets as a global brand, he added: This carpet, with its unique role, unique design and use of durable raw materials in its production, is one of the most beautiful and durable handmade carpets in the world that has many customers in countries. The Persian Gulf has European countries and Russia.

Kazemi stated that in addition to small fish carpets, various types of silk carpets are also produced in Khoy, adding that the amount of handmade carpets produced in Khoy city is 80,000 square meters, which is expected to reach more than 120,000 square meters by the end of this year.

He specified: more than 40% of handmade carpets produced in this city are exported annually.

The head of Khoy Department of Industry, Mines and Trade stated: Khoy handmade handmade carpets are woven in ridges 40 and 50 and the existence of two small and large margins in the ridge and the text of the carpet make this work of art different from other handmade carpets and Khoy city. The role of small fish in our country and in this sector of handmade carpet production more than 30 thousand people are employed.

Handmade carpet is one of the export products of West Azerbaijan province, which annually produces more than 424 square meters of handmade carpet in this province.
