Rouhi continued: Currently, the second cultivation has been done in more than 65,000 hectares of paddy lands in the province, which is 20,000 hectares more allocated for the second cultivation than last year.

Referring to the recent rains, he noted: If the weather was more favorable, we could have more second crops.

Rouhi pointed out that in most of the paddy lands that are dedicated to the second crop, we have fish farming, especially salmon in the paddy fields, said: more than 19,000 hectares of these lands are dedicated to ratoon farming.

The head of the Gilan Agricultural Jihad Organization stated: Large-scale cultivation of beans, barley, wheat, barley and squash is also one of the second crops in the province, which is being done by the province’s farmers.
