Production of Shirazi thyme seedlings for the first time in Iran
The executor of the medicinal plants project of the Ministry of Jihad-e-Agriculture announced that the seedlings of the thyme plant of Shiraz were produced for the first time by the efforts of the researchers in the Spayd Raymon Fars Medicinal Plants Complex.
Hossein Zeinali informed of the great welcome of Iranians and citizens living in the Persian Gulf countries of thyme Shirazi, and said: this medicinal plant has a very good added value and a complete value chain.

According to the official, 240,000 hectares of the country are currently under the cultivation of medicinal plants, of which 122,000 hectares are dedicated to saffron and about 28,000 hectares to Golmohammadi.
