Re-transplanting rice in Shanderman
The director of Masal Agricultural Jihad announced the production of more than 19,000 tons of white rice in Masal.
Announcing this news, Ahmad Purdorish added: Rice harvest in Masal is nearing completion and this year we predict an increase in white rice production in Masal city.
He announced the allocation of 0.6 hectares of land in the village of Injilan in the Shanderman district of Masal for replanting rice and said: The figure that has been replanted in these paddy fields is of the Hassani type.
This re-cultivation of rice is being done by two farmers, he said.
He continued by stating that Hassani cultivar is one of the early rice cultivars: The first rice cultivation cultivar of these two farmers was Hashemi type.
Purdorish said: the selected rice cultivar of most Masal paddy fields is Hashemi cultivar and Ali Kazemi cultivar is in the next rank.
He said that mechanized harvesting will increase farmers’ incomes, adding that this year, rice harvesting has been mechanized in more than 5,000 hectares of Masal paddy fields.
He explained that another way to increase the income of farmers is the second crop: Masali farmers dedicate more than 2,000 hectares of their paddy lands to growing legumes after harvesting rice.
He added: Bean patch and beans are among the beans that are grown in Masal.
He said: Considering that Masal city is a livestock city, the cultivation of clover and bersin is also well received by paddy farmers who consume livestock.
He added: This year, we predict that more than 32,000 tons of paddy will be produced in Masal, and more than 19,000 tons of white rice will be extracted from this amount.
