Hadi Makhmalbaf, referring to the decrease in the production of handmade carpets in the province, said: Due to the recession, the production market has decreased, but the variety of designs and types and styles of weaving in Khorasan Razavi is in good condition.
Makhmalbaf assessed the domestic demand as favorable and said: In the current situation, innovation must be done with proper market management.

He pointed to the need to improve the conditions for sellers and exporters of hand-woven carpets and said: Currently, the tax on hand-woven carpet sellers has become a concern for them and the conditions of facilities are complicated, which requires real absorption in this area. It is still popular among the people, but the demand must be stimulated by the manufacturer so that we can meet the interest of the people. Also, the quality of hand-woven carpets needs to be maintained and improved. Fortunately, good measures have been taken in the field of education.
Regarding the export of hand-woven carpets, he continued: Before the political disputes we had with Arab countries, many exhibitions were held in those countries every year, but now the export of Khorasan Razavi carpets to one of the countries has been stopped, but European countries have They were also customers of Iranian carpets.
