Saffron growers enter their market many times
Mohammad Reza Orani, head of the Khorasan Razavi Agricultural Jihad Organization, said: Selling large volumes of saffron in the market by farmers will increase supply and reduce prices. Therefore, to prevent this from happening, farmers should enter the market as needed and frequently.
He added: This measure will stabilize the price and even increase it and make farmers more profitable and prevent financial losses to them.
The head of the Khorasan Razavi Agricultural Jihad Organization, referring to the supportive purchase of saffron by the government since November 5 this year, continued: Considering the purchase ceiling of 10 tons for each farmer, the main purpose of the government’s purchase is to support individual saffron growers. The money is not considered and only the regulation of the market and the prevention of price drop is the main goal in the purchase.
Orani said: If farmers could sell their saffron above the rate announced by the government to buy support in the market, they must do so, and if the rate of purchase of the product in the market was lower than the rate announced by the government to buy their crop or until it rises again. Hold the market or sell it to the government.
As part of the supportive purchase plan for saffron in Khorasan Razavi, about five tons of saffron products have been purchased so far following the activities of 10 centers in the saffron-rich cities of Khorasan Razavi.
