Saravan dates are ready for sale in domestic and foreign markets

The director of agricultural jihad of Saravan city said: the palm farmers of the city harvest more than 38 thousand and 170 tons of dates from 11,280 hectares of rain-fed and irrigated dates and send them to domestic and foreign markets.
Shirzad Kamali, while visiting the date orchards of the city, added: The date harvesting work in the city with rabbi dates started in the first half of August in Jaleq section and will end with the late harvest of Makili and Halileh cultivars in October.
He stated: Rabi dates at the level of 8,031 hectares and Mazafati dates at the level of 3,000 hectares have the highest area under cultivation in the groves of the city and 851 hectares have been under cultivation of other cultivars including Rangno, Pepo, Pimazo, Makili, etc. .
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of the city further added: Rabi Saravan dates are the most important export product of the region due to being organic, which has been exported to European countries in recent years.
Kamali added: So far, 600 hectares of rain-fed date groves in the Mak Sokhteh region have succeeded in obtaining an organic date certificate from the German Ceres company.
